Cavity Prevention

While regular exams are used to detect cavities early on, there is another treatment that offers even better protection by sealing the teeth using sealants. Sealants are like transparent nail polish made specifically for natural teeth. A thin layer of the sealant is applied to the surface of the molars and premolars, and then hardened by a light to protect the creases in the tooth from food particles and bacteria that could cause cavities. This is a simple treatment without using anesthetic and reduces the risk of developing cavities.
